PRIA FLANAGAN
BARRISTER & SOLICITOR

Pria Flanagan was born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia. She attended McGill University, graduating in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Before pursuing a legal career, Pria worked for Tourism Kamloops as a Visitor Experience and Marketing Coordinator. In that role, she promoted Kamloops and the surrounding region helping visitors experience everything the area has to offer. During this time, Pria also worked with the Tourism Industry Association of British Columbia, where she collaborated closely with the CEO and the association's team to advance advocacy efforts and promote key messaging on behalf of British Columbia’s tourism sector.

Pria later attended the Faculty of Law at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2026.

During law school, Pria was actively involved with Pro Bono Students Canada for two years, contributing to the Canadian on Paper Society for Immigrant Physicians Equity (COPSIPE) project. In recognition of her volunteer service, she received the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award for Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law, which honours outstanding volunteers who exemplify dignity, equity, and humility. She was also awarded the Course Prize in Truth and Rebuilding Canadian Indigenous Legal Relations. Pria further distinguished herself by representing Thompson Rivers University at both the 2025 National Family Law Negotiation Moot Competition and the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Moot.

Throughout law school and her professional experience, Pria has developed a strong interest in solicitor-based practice areas, including wills and estates, real estate, and commercial law. She is committed to building her practice in these areas and providing practical, client focused legal services to individuals and businesses throughout Kamloops and the surrounding region.

Outside of her legal practice, Pria enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in her local book club, and exploring the beauty of the Interior. Like many of us who are proud to call Kamloops home, Pria takes advantage of our year-round activities, from winters at Sun Peaks to summertime out at the Shuswap.
